Problem: The Verizion LG VX8300 phone does not recognize all songs.
The standard Verizon LG VX8300 cell phone is equipped to with a very small amount of memory. So, I added a 1 GB micro Sandisk card to the phone. On the card, added 90 songs comprising of both MP3 and WMA formats. The version of firmware of this phone permits both versions. Earlier versions, I understand, will not permit MP3 playback. The phone only recognized 70 songs. After considerable research, I could not find a resolution.
Start from scratch. Format the card. Then rename the songs to as few characters as possible, ie: Track – Artist – Rather Long Title.mp3 to 01.mp3, 02.mp3, 03.wma, and so one. The phone reindexed the music. All the music. The phone picks up the ID tags and now I am able to play the complete music library.
